American Society of Civil Engineers

Our activities include the ASCE Concrete Canoe Competition, educational field trips, engineering job-site visits, and networking opportunities with industry professionals. Our executive board is planning to expand these activities for the academic year 2026-2027, including a trip to an Amtrak project in Connecticut. Our chapter contributes to the UMass Dartmouth community by encouraging student participation, strengthening connections between students from different academic years, and introducing underclassmen to potential civil engineering career paths. We hope that these initiatives will increase student engagement, foster collaboration, and better prepare future engineers for their professional careers.
