Cyber Secure Computing Club

The Cyber Secure Computing Club is one of the largest and most active organizations in the Computer Science and Engineering Department at UMass Dartmouth. With cybersecurity and network security being rapidly evolving fields, closely tied to artificial intelligence in their applications, we provide a collaborative environment where students build awareness, develop practical skills, and pursue new research projects. We host workshops, hands-on training sessions, competitions, and hackathons. We aim to provide a space where students can sharpen their cybersecurity skills, participate in competitions, and proudly represent UMass Dartmouth at various levels. Our club also encourages members to explore new ideas in cybersecurity that can evolve into thesis projects, research papers, or innovative solutions, while supporting their professional growth and career development in this critical field. Through these efforts, we contribute to UMass Dartmouth by fostering academic excellence, advancing cybersecurity research, and building a strong community of skilled and motivated students.

We are the Cyber Secure Computing Club, and we are raising funds to strengthen the learning and engagement opportunities for our members. Specifically, the funds will be used to support:

• Learning Resources – Invest in online courses, educational materials, and specialized tools that will help members enhance their cybersecurity knowledge and skillset

• Events and Hackathons – Support the organization of workshops, competitions, and hackathons that provide hands-on experience and real-world problem-solving opportunities.

• Incentives and Community Building – Provide club-branded T-shirts and gear as rewards for participants, fostering motivation, recognition, and a stronger sense of community within the club.

By securing these resources, we aim to empower our members to sharpen their cybersecurity expertise and prepare them for future challenges in the field.
