Commuters

At UMass Dartmouth, we have the commuter office, which is a place for commuters to relax, talk, study, grab a snack, and recharge between classes. We organize commuter events, such as Fuel for Finals, which provides food and a space for students to take a break from studying. Additionally, we have pit stops where commuters can meet the team and ask any commuter-related questions. By stocking the office with snacks, coffee, and other essentials, we make the office a convenient place for commuters to stop by. Through the events we host, we help commuters get more involved in college life and create a chance to build a community. Our activities and office serve as the "home away from home" for commuters, fostering a stronger community and a welcoming environment.

We are raising funds to make the commuter office a stronger home base for commuter students, providing more snacks and hosting events that fit their schedules. These funds will help us keep the office stocked with grab-and-go snacks and coffee to refuel between classes. We will also create new social events for commuters, providing them with opportunities to meet, connect, and network with one another. Part of the funding would also go toward upgrading the office with new furniture and equipment, such as a new coffee machine, making the area a more comfortable place for commuters. Every dollar supports the commuter students by giving them something to look forward to.
