Black Student Union

The Black Student Union strives to promote unity, leadership, and the academic and cultural advancement of Black students. It serves as a place to celebrate Black identity, raise awareness of social and cultural issues, and advocate for equality and inclusion both on campus and out of campus. BSU also aims to create a supportive space where students can connect, grow, and inspire positive change.

Every week, we bring students together through educational workshops, showcases that celebrate Black excellence, fun game nights, interactive discussions, and cultural talks—all while promoting and partnering with the Frederick Douglass Unity House to strengthen our community. These efforts not only encourage campus engagement but also create lasting spaces of unity, learning, and pride for Black students and other multicultural groups.

We are raising funds to help the Black Student Union continue creating meaningful opportunities that empower and uplift our community. The support we receive will go directly toward hosting events that celebrate and promote Black excellence, organizing cultural workshops that educate and inspire, and improving our resources and supplies so we can better serve our members. These efforts help us strengthen community connections, provide leadership development, and ensure that our organization continues to be a positive force for representation, growth, and unity on campus
