Gifts to Arab Student Association contribute to...
We aim to create a space on campus for Arab students to come together and have a community. Whether it be international students feeling homesick or local students wanting to get to know others, it is a place for us to interact with one another and share our experiences. We also are a great resource for introducing Arab culture to any interested non-Arab students. All are welcome to come and have a cultural experience on campus with us!
We host meetings once a week for students to come and unwind at the end of the day with light-hearted and fun activities such as cards, trivia, and games. We are a space for Arab students to relax, envelope themselves in their home culture, and connect with others like them. This connection is invaluable because it allows for more community connections such as locations of nearby places of worship and Arab restaurants. We also have collaborations planned with other cultural clubs on campus such as the Cape Verdean Student Association to promote intercultural exchanges.
We are raising money to hold fun events on campus for our members and anyone who would like to join. We would like to plan events such as a Henna & Tea night, a movie night (with popcorn, of course!), a Ramadan iftar dinner, and an End-of-Year celebration. These events required food and materials to be bought ahead of time.
