GritStarter is UMBC’s online crowdfunding platform that empowers Retrievers, alumni, students, faculty, staff, families, and friends, to support the ideas and initiatives that make our community thrive. Through GritStarter, you can discover meaningful projects, connect with the people behind them, and come together to drive innovation, creativity, and lasting impact. Each campaign reflects the grit, determination, and ingenuity that define UMBC. From advancing research and supporting student organizations to expanding access and opportunity, every project is a chance to shape the future of our university and beyond.
