Honor Brandi Rideout ’06- 2026 Outstanding Alumni Award Recipient
Brandi Rideout ’06 found her voice at the University of Maine at Farmington — and now she is helping the next generation do the same.
A first-generation college student from Mattawamkeag, Maine, Brandi transferred to UMF her sophomore year and quickly discovered a community where she felt she truly belonged. As a two-sport student-athlete competing in basketball, and softball, she built resilience, leadership skills, and lifelong friendships that continue to shape her today. Just as importantly, UMF gave her the confidence to step forward, speak up, and grow into the person she is now.
Nominated by a fellow UMF friend, Brandi’s recognition as a 2026 Outstanding Alumni Award recipient reflects not only her accomplishments, but the enduring power of connection and community in Farmington.
In honor of this award, Brandi has chosen to support the Friends of Athletics Fund — investing in the programs that helped her thrive as a student-athlete.
Now, you can help continue that legacy.
Make your gift today to the Friends of Athletics Fund and honor Brandi’s achievement. Your support ensures that today’s student-athletes have access to the same mentorship, opportunity, and sense of belonging that defined Brandi’s UMF experience.
Together, we can empower the next generation of Beavers.
