April 18 is our eighth annual GiveDay! The Hopwoods founded Lynchburg 120 years ago with a gift of $100. Since then, Lynchburg students, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends have come together to support everything that makes this such an extraordinary place to live, work, learn, and grow.
Join us as we celebrate our history and reimagine our future!
Need assistance with making your gift? Phone lines are open 9am to 5pm at 434.544.8294.
Top Priorities:
While you’re always welcome to direct your gift to whatever is most meaningful to you, gifts to the Lynchburg Fund support all aspects of the Lynchburg experience. Remember, you also have the opportunity to split your gift between several different funds. Don’t see the area you wish to support in our list of funds? Select “Other” when making your gift and write in the fund of your choosing.
Athletics Upgrades - Baseball Facilities
Improvements to Fox Field include moving the press box back from the backstop to allow for the installation of chairback seating and viewing areas that help upgrade Fox Field into a more fan-friendly experience.
Athletics Upgrades - Equestrian Facilities
Our equestrian program recently announced a long-term partnership with a nearby farm owned by Patrick Henry Family Services, which is in the process of being transformed into a state-of-the-art collegiate riding facility, including footing upgrades in the ring, an increased number of stalls, and a new covered arena built on the property.
Athletics Upgrades - Softball Facilities
Improvements to Moon Field include new dugouts, netting, and seating to better match the level of excellence that has been synonymous with Lynchburg Softball under the leadership of Head Coach Dawn Simmons '97.
Athletics Upgrades - Tennis Facilities
Relocation of our tennis courts will allow us to increase the number of courts from six to eight and provide a championship-level playing facility for our women's and men's tennis programs.
Endowment for General Scholarships
Keep a Lynchburg education within reach for all students by contributing toward our special endowment fund for scholarships. Your support will provide financial aid and help more students be in a position to say “yes” to attending our institution.
Hobbs-Sigler Science Hall Renovations
The Hobbs-Sigler Science Hall initiative will help make it possible for Lynchburg students and faculty to continue to excel in the sciences. The renovations include a new roof, conference room, and a new active-learning classroom and laboratory.
