Support performance and research by our Grammy Award winning music faculty
Provide funding for our students to travel and network at national competitions, festivals, and international touring, including the January 8th performance by our University Symphony Orchestra and members of the Jazz Ensemble, for a keynote presentation of Professor Gabe Evens' new orchestration of the "Fundamentals of Jazz Suite," at the Jazz Education Network Conference in New Orleans.
Increase scholarship support for our music students who will eventually represent Louisville on the global community. Our global Card alumni include Kaitlyn Purcell, BME '24, Fulbright Scholar, currently teaching in Taiwan; Alan Mason, MM '89, President of the Board of the League of American Orchestras; Lucia Patino, BM '90, international stage director and faculty, U. of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and Tyler Taylor, BM '15, the Daniel R. Lewis Composer Fellow for the world-famous Cleveland Orchestra.
