Since 1823, UofL Health – UofL Hospital has not only been a teaching and research institution, but it’s been a haven for our most medically fragile and under resourced patients.
The region’s only Level I trauma center for adults and Kentucky's only dedicated adult burn unit, we provide life-saving care for over 4,000 trauma patients annually. Additionally, we provide life-saving and life-altering care for patients through the Center for Women and Infants (including a NICU), as well as our comprehensive stroke center.
Our goal is to not only save lives but to help patients and their families heal and thrive. To meet the growing needs of our community, a significant hospital expansion and renovation is underway.
