KRVS - Radio Acadie

KRVS Public Radio started as a student-run station in 1963, covering most of, then-USL’s, campus. In the early 1980s, KRVS was granted funds from the Federal Communications Commission to expand to cover all of Acadiana. The staffing requirements imposed by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting limited student involvement, but with the start of the Spring 2024 semester came the UL Lafayette student radio revolution to KRVS’ HD-2 channel (available on krvs.org, KRVS’s mobile app, and in your car).
