As a graduate of the College of the Arts, you understand better than most just how acute the need is to support the arts, both nationwide and here at home. Although arts and culture contribute billions to both the state and national economy, philanthropy and grant funding for the arts remain comparatively low. Here at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, our students continue to have access to cutting-edge learning opportunities and transformational experiences because of donors like you who understand the value of the arts to the world.
As a proud Ragin' Cajun, your creative journey continues to show today's students what's possible. As we look ahead this year, we’re excited to continue building momentum by:
- Recruiting exceptional faculty and investing in their professional growth to ensure our students learn from accomplished artists, designers, and performers who prepare them for success as the "Makers, Thinkers, Performers, and Doers" of tomorrow.
- Expanding opportunities for students to showcase their talents through performances, exhibitions, and public events across our nationally accredited programs in the College of the Arts, enriching both our campus and community. This past year marked our second full year as a unified College with the Schools of Architecture and Design, Visual Arts, Music, Dance, and Theatre under one collaborative vision. This integrated approach strengthens interdisciplinary learning and prepares students to excel as creative professionals in today’s evolving arts landscape.
Because of donors like you, we have launched the Keys to the Future Initiative, an investment in new pianos, upgraded equipment, and essential infrastructure that will support generations of student musicians. The Marais Press Center, a dynamic collaborative space where students can explore innovative printmaking techniques, work across disciplines, and bring bold creative ideas to life, will also come to fruition with continued and essential support from donors like you.
So much more awaits the College and our students. To continue to be among those who help build what’s next, make a gift today.
With heartfelt thanks and lasting Ragin’ Cajun pride,
Daryl Joseph Moore
Dean, College of the Arts
