“It’s all to help these kids!”
It all started in 2018 when Steve “Dukie” Corson would drive from Waverly to Iowa City, to have his right eye treated at University of Iowa Health care. During his visits, he was moved by the newly built free-standing facility and new he could positively impact these patients and families who needed support, comfort, and cheerleading more than he did.
The Waverly community (including the local families and schools) have gotten behind Dukie to help make this event possible and after a successful event in 2018, 2021, and 2023 – Dukie is looking forward to the fourth event on July 18 at Prairie Links Golf Course!
Because of such generous community partners – ALL FUNDS raised will go to directly benefit patients and families at UI Stead Family Childrens’ Hospital. Past donations have supported special staff-driven care initiatives, helped kids get specialized contacts and glasses, and provided much needed support and continuing education opportunities to our nursing staff.
Help support Dukie and the Waverly community and donate, today. EVERY gift, regardless of size, helps and it is ALL TO HELP KIDS!
