Laptops for the Library’s loanable technology program are essential resources students across campus rely on to succeed. Through the Media Commons, demand is so high that laptops are often reserved up to two weeks in advance. We’re seeking support to fund 20 new laptops to help ensure all students, regardless of major, have access to the technology they need to thrive at Illinois.
The Media Commons loanable laptop program ensures students from every college can stay on track by providing short-term access to essential technology at critical moments. With demand consistently near capacity and existing laptops reaching the end of their service life, donor support is essential to sustain and refresh this high-impact program, helping students remain connected, productive, and successful when they need it most.
