Guitar Ensemble Support Fund
This fund was created to support the needs of our Illinois Guitar Ensemble. This spring, our students have been invited to perform at the Mid America Guitar Ensemble Festival in Fort Wayne, Indiana—an incredible opportunity hosted by Purdue University Fort Wayne. Gifts to this fund will help cover travel expenses such as transportation costs, food, and hotel stays.
Illinois Summer Youth Music (ISYM)

Lyric Theatre
Lyric Theatre at Illinois (LTI) is the producer of sung theatre at the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, where it mounts three main stage and many smaller productions in a variety of styles and languages each year. We are committed to new, innovative, sung theatre; traditional European opera; and American Musical Theater. We work closely with professionals in all industries, and sponsor several compositions each year, ranging from workshops to full productions with chamber orchestra. Gifts to the Krannert Center Lyric Theatre Student Excellence Fund will be used for production support of the Lyric Theatre.
Music at Illinois Fund
Currently there are over 700 students majoring or minoring in music at our School of Music. Additionally, thousands of students participate every year in music ensembles and classes at the University of Illinois. The reach is far and wide, covering nearly all majors on campus!
Tom Siwe Percussion Ensemble Commissioning Fund
The goal of this fund will be to continue Tom's work in adding significant new works for the percussion ensemble genre by the leading compositional voices of today, with special focus on composers who have not written for percussion ensemble previously.
Trombone Studio
The trombone studio at the University of Illinois consists of undergraduate and graduate students from across the country pursuing a wide range of degrees offered in the School of Music as well as students from many other majors on campus. In addition to curricular offerings, members of the trombone studio participate in a wide range of activities including welcoming world class guest artists to campus and traveling with the trombone choir to perform at state and national conferences.
