The IDEA Lab has maintained a makerspace service for the past few years, providing highly detailed UV-curable resin prints. Historically, we have relied on consumer-grade resin 3D printers, which tend to be functional, but not always the most accurate or reliable printers. The FormLabs printer ecosystem steps up to a commercial-grade printing setup that is more reliable and accurate than the lower tier 3D printers. This would enhance our ability to deliver for the specialized projects that students require. This printer will broaden our impact across campus in bringing a vital service to the growing campus student population.
