Support Coalition Building to make our Cultural Centers more LGBTQ+ inclusive!
Your gift during Orange & Blue Week will create more inclusive spaces for queer students of color on campus!
Support the Gender and Sexuality Resource Center (GSRC) and the Cultural/Resource Centers (BNAACC, La Casa, NAH, AACC, IE, DSJE, WRC, and Salaam) within Student Success, Inclusion, and Belonging (SSIB) by helping the GSRC create more inclusive spaces for queer students of color on campus. Training the cultural/resource centers student interns/workers/ambassadors in LGBTQ+ & racial justice inclusive practices, bystander intervention and queer culturally specific knowledge will ultimately encourage Queer inclusivity in already cultural safe spaces.
In the Fall 2023 Campus Climate Survey 27% of undergraduates and 25% of graduate students identified within the LGBQA+ community. Queer students of color may struggle with finding a place where they feel like they belong on campus. It is important that Queer students of color have a safe and welcoming place to go to on campus whether it’s the GSRC and/or a Cultural House.
Help us make our spaces more inclusive of Queer Students of Color by training our interns in inclusive practices!
