Gifts to Criminal Law Society contribute to...
The Criminal Law Society is dedicated to fostering a deeper understanding of criminal law, promoting ethical advocacy, and empowering law students to pursue careers in public service. We aim to build a community of future practitioners committed to integrity, fairness, and the pursuit of justice.
Our goals include creating opportunities for professional growth by connecting students with experienced practitioners and encouraging open discussions about real-world challenges in the criminal justice system. Through these efforts, we strive to cultivate a collaborative environment that prepares future lawyers to approach their work with professionalism, compassion, and a steadfast commitment to justice.

The Criminal Law Society is dedicated to strengthening the presence of criminal law at the College of Law by creating opportunities for student engagement. This year, we plan to host an Alumni–Student Reception that will bring together current students and graduates practicing in prosecution, defense, and criminal justice reform. Through this event, we hope to foster lasting connections and highlight the many pathways available within the field.
We plan to organize speaker events featuring public defenders, prosecutors, judges, and advocates to speak to interested students. These conversations will deepen students’ understanding of key issues while helping them build connections and professional networks. With the continued support of our alumni, we can ensure that criminal law remains a vibrant and integral part of the student experience at the College of Law.
Our goal is to raise $5,000 to support meaningful programming that connects students with the broader criminal law community. These funds will help us host our Alumni–Student Reception, an event designed to bring together current students and alumni working in prosecution, defense, and criminal justice reform. In addition, the funds will allow us to organize a series of criminal law lectures that feature attorneys, judges, and advocates who are leading important conversations in the field. Together, these initiatives will provide students with a deeper understanding of criminal law, networking opportunities, and professional insight that extends beyond the classroom.
