American Constitution Society

The American Constitution Society for Law and Policy (ACS) is the nation’s foremost progressive legal organization, with a diverse nationwide network that includes nearly 250 student and lawyer chapters, and progressive lawyers, students, judges, scholars, elected officials, and advocates. Our mission is to support and advocate for laws and legal systems that redress the founding failures of our Constitution, strengthen our democratic legitimacy, uphold the rule of law, and realize the promise of equality for all, including people of color, women, LGBTQ+ people, people with disabilities, and other historically excluded communities.

The Illinois College of Law Chapter of the American Constitution Society (ACS) promotes dialogue and action on issues of democracy, equality, and justice. Donations will support speaker events on topics such as elections, redistricting, public interest careers, and the First Amendment, as well as travel expenses for guest speakers and members attending ACS National and regional events. Your gift helps develop future lawyers committed to strengthening democracy and advancing justice for all.

Our goal is to raise $1,500 to support our chapter’s programming and outreach. Funds will help cover travel expenses for guest speakers and costs for members attending ACS National and regional events, allowing us to expand educational opportunities and strengthen our engagement with the broader ACS community.
