At the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa’s School of Architecture, we prepare the next generation of architects and landscape architects to lead conversations around design that is sustainable, rooted in place, and globally relevant. Through hands-on studios, impactful research, and strong community partnerships, our graduates are ready to address Hawaiʻi’s most pressing built environment challenges—from housing and climate resilience to environmental stewardship and cultural preservation.
Our mission is simple: we build leaders.
This Giving Day, we invite you to support two priorities that directly expand opportunities for our students.
- Architecture Advancement Fund
Help remove financial barriers to the iterative design process. Students learn design through an iterative process that involves extensive printing, revising, and building study models—all core to their education—but the associated costs can limit their ability to fully participate. Your gift will support student access to the School’s print and fabrication labs, allowing them to prototype, test ideas, and fully engage in hands-on learning without financial burden.
- Global Track Program Fund
Our D.Arch Dual Degree Global Track, offered in partnership with Tongji University, prepares students to become global design leaders. Students study in both Honolulu and Shanghai gaining exposure to diverse cultures, urban environments, and design challenges. During the Shanghai portion at Tongji University, tuition is charged through UH’s Study Abroad Center and there is no tuition differential between resident and non-resident students. The cost of out-of-state tuition during the program’s second year can be a barrier. Your gift will help fund scholarships that make this global leadership opportunity accessible to talented students regardless of financial background.
Help us design the future by supporting the architects and landscape architects of tomorrow.
