The College of Health Professions (COHP) aims to prepare healthcare professionals as leaders through collaboration, innovation, and experiential learning. We offer a range of health professions and human service majors where students learn through hands-on experiences, state-of-the-art labs, and over 1,000 supervised clinical training sites. The Dean's Excellence Fund supports students with projects, lab equipment, building renovation, and classroom furnishings.
The H and B Family Foundation and HeartLight Pharmacy Services made a gift to the University of Findlay to provide Bridges Out of Poverty training for UF students. Bridges Out of Poverty training helps health and human service providers gain insight from a client’s perspective as well as learn the emotions, roadblocks and consequences under-resourced individuals encounter. Trainees also learn how to recognize resource inequalities, particularly as they relate to health care.
In addition to training UF College of Health Professions students, we will continue to offer workshops for community members, as has been done successfully in the past.
