At the heart of Detroit Mercy Law is a commitment to justice, community, and fostering future leaders. Today, we invite you to support the David Williams II and Gail Carr Williams Endowed Scholarship Fund, dedicated to assisting Black students at Detroit Mercy Law.
This fund honors David, M.B.A. ’79, J.D. ’82, and Gail Carr Williams ’83, two distinguished alumni who exemplified leadership, commitment to education, and a deep passion for justice. David, who passed in 2019, was a respected professor, mentor, and trailblazer at Vanderbilt University and a dedicated Detroit Mercy trustee. Gail has served as a community relations leader and educator, championing partnerships and collaborations.
Their legacy reflects a shared dedication to creating opportunities for future attorneys from underrepresented backgrounds.
