Support Low-Income Titans with Mandatory Testing Fees

At the University of Detroit Mercy, we take pride in preparing our Titans for impactful careers in healthcare—whether as dentists, doctors, optometrists, physician assistants, or other vital roles in our communities. However, the journey to graduate school comes with significant financial hurdles. Mandatory exams like the DAT, MCAT, OAT, and GRE are costly, and financial aid does not cover these fees.
For students who demonstrate financial need, these costs create barriers to achieving their goals. Here's a breakdown of exam fees:
- DAT (Dental Admission Test): $540
- MCAT (Medical College Admission Test): $335
- OAT (Optometry Admission Test): $520
- GRE (Graduate Record Examination): $220
Fee assistance programs are limited, with partial waivers capped at 50% for only a few applicants, leaving many low-income Titans without support.
How Your Support Makes a Difference:
This campaign aims to raise $9,065 to help low-income Titans cover testing fees. Your contributions will enable:
- 3 registrations for OAT or MCAT exams
- 5 registrations for GRE exams
- 10 registrations for DAT exams
Thanks to the university’s Kaplan All Access program, all recipients will also have access to test preparation resources, maximizing their chances of success.
