Empower What's the Tea with Ministry Podcast: Igniting Conversations, Building Community

Introduction: Welcome to the fundraising campaign for "What's the Tea with Ministry," a groundbreaking podcast at the University of Detroit Mercy that spills the tea on living out our Jesuit and Mercy mission. This podcast serves as a dynamic platform for mission-centered conversations, reflections, and interviews, aiming to deepen our understanding of our Catholic, Jesuit, and Mercy identity.

Our Vision: Our vision is to expand mission-centered content within our university community. "What's the Tea with Ministry" seeks to engage students, staff, faculty, community partners, Jesuits, and Sisters of Mercy in meaningful discussions, fostering a deeper connection to our mission and identity.

Project Purpose: This crowdfunding campaign aims to support the integration of mission and identity across all sectors of our university community. With a focus on accessibility, the podcast will continue to provide rich, mission-driven content that resonates with students, staff, and faculty, reaching beyond the confines of traditional programs and classrooms.

Funding Needs: To bring Season 2 to life, we are seeking $5,000 to cover essential expenses:

  • Sound Engineer (16 episodes at 4 hrs each)
  • 12-month Buzzsprout subscription
  • Promotional Stickers
  • Sound Editor for prompt episode turnaround
  • T-shirts and Mugs with Podcast Logo
  • 2 Microphones for remote recording
  • Advertising materials (Tabletop Roll Up Banner, Table Runner/Cloth)

Why Your Support Matters: Season 1 of "What's the Tea with Ministry" was a success, thanks to the collaboration with Michael Jayson, a CLAE faculty member. However, to maintain our release schedule for Season 2, we need to hire a freelance sound editor. Your contribution will accelerate the editing process, ensuring timely and high-quality episodes that resonate with our audience.

Impact of Your Donation:

  • Quality Production: Hire a freelance sound editor for prompt and professional episode editing.
  • Enhanced Visibility: Invest in promotional swag and targeted advertising to expand our podcast's reach.
  • Community Building: Provide thank-you gifts for guests, fostering a sense of appreciation and collaboration.

Conclusion: Join us in supporting "What's the Tea with Ministry" Season 2 and become a catalyst for impactful conversations that strengthen our university community. Your donation will make a lasting impact, allowing us to continue sharing the rich stories and perspectives that define our Jesuit and Mercy heritage.

Together, let's ignite conversations, build community, and empower our mission.
