Join us in serving an ace for the University of Detroit Mercy Tennis Club!
The University of Detroit Mercy Tennis Club is more than just a sports team; it's a community where students of all skill levels come together to learn, compete, and forge lifelong friendships. As a proud member of The United States Tennis Association, we are dedicated to fostering the love of tennis, promoting healthy competition, and creating lasting memories.
Our Purpose:
Our tennis club is an integral part of the UDM campus, offering students a chance to have fun, develop their skills, and compete against peers from other universities. We practice twice a week, enjoying spirited match play and learning from one another. To take our passion for tennis to the next level, we plan to attend 1-2 tournaments each month, where we'll face off against 4-6 other universities per event. The challenges and experiences these tournaments offer are invaluable in our growth as athletes and individuals.
The Challenge:
To continue our mission and meet the increasing demands of competitive tennis, we need your support. The expenses associated with running a successful tennis club, such as equipment, team gear, tournament fees, transportation, and accommodations, add up quickly. Additionally, we require indoor facility rentals during the winter months to ensure our training remains consistent and effective.
Our Goal:
We aim to raise $2,000 to ensure the success of our 2023-2024 tennis club season. Your generous contributions will directly impact our club and help us provide our student-athletes with the resources they need to excel both on and off the court.
