🌟 Bringing Smiles to Jamaica: Dental Care for All! 🌟

Hello, incredible supporters!

We are a dedicated team of dental professionals, including dental students, dentists and hygienists, proudly representing the Detroit Mercy chapter of the American Student Dental Association (ASDA). Today, we come to you with enthusiasm and a heartfelt request for your support as we embark on a mission to provide free dental care to an underserved community in Jamaica.

🌎 The Mission: In March 2024, we will be heading to the South Coast of Jamaica to offer much-needed dental care and education to local communities. Our team is eager to diagnose and treat various dental concerns, providing relief to those experiencing excruciating tooth pain that has hindered their ability to eat and sleep. Our services include pain relief, cleanings, fluoride treatments, and extractions.

📚 Beyond Treatment: But our mission goes beyond treatment. We will be visiting nearby schools to spend time with students, imparting valuable oral hygiene education. Each child will receive toothbrushes, toothpaste, and floss, empowering them with the knowledge and tools for a lifetime of good oral health.

🙏 Why We Need Your Help: While we are immensely grateful for this opportunity, it comes at a cost. As dental students, managing finances is crucial, and we have set a goal of $15,000 to fund this trip. This amount will cover expenses like flights, transportation, lodging, and provide all the necessary supplies. The costs add up quickly, and we are turning to you, our compassionate community, to help us reach this goal.
