WeRead Military

Support for Military WeServe WeRead helps military-connected children ages 0-7 and their caregivers by delivering free, research-based whole-child development and psychoeducation programming focused on early literacy, language development, family well-being, and resilience. Through interactive stories, play-based activities, caregiver education, and community partnerships, Military WeServe WeRead translates research into practical strategies that help military families navigate the unique challenges of military life.

For military-connected children and families in El Paso County, that can mean access to community-based learning experiences, resources, and support around topics such as deployment, relocation, family mental health, and resilience, helping young children and caregivers thrive through periods of transition and change.

Your gift provides funding for Military WeServe WeRead community sessions, educational materials, family activities, and caregiver resources, helping military families strengthen relationships, build resilience, and support healthy child development.

• $25 helps provide some program materials and supplies for a WeServe WeRead session.
• $100 helps provide free children’s books for families attending a WeServe WeRead session.
• $500 helps provide an entire WeServe WeRead session for military families, including interactive storytime, activities, caregiver psychoeducation, and take-home resources.
