S.A.V.E.: Every Child Deserves a Chance to Play, Grow, and Belong

This Giving Tuesday, you can help children in our community access sports, recreation, and enrichment experiences at the University of Denver’s Ritchie Center. These are exciting opportunities that build confidence, character, friendships, and a sense of belonging.

S.A.V.E. (Sports, Arts, Volunteerism, and Education) provides scholarships that help children and families from the Denver community participate in youth programs offered through the University of Denver’s Ritchie Center. By helping remove cost as a barrier, S.A.V.E. opens the door to experiences ranging from Pioneer Athletic Super Summer Camp (P.A.S.S.) to year-round recreation and enrichment programs.

For families, the impact can extend far beyond access to a program.

$5 funds basic athletic supplies for a child participating in a sports program for the first time.

$50 funds a child’s participation in a one-day program such as School Days Off that provides a family with a childcare solution while giving a young person the opportunity to try something new.

$500 funds a scholarship for a child to experience a week of P.A.S.S. Camp thus opening the door to new activities, friendships, and a summer experience they may not otherwise have.

Every gift, at every level, helps create greater access to quality programs where young people can be active, explore their interests, develop new skills, and grow within a supportive community.
