Support for the Student Assistance Fund provides limited emergency financial assistance to DU students experiencing temporary financial hardship. Unlike a loan, this assistance is provided as a grant and does not need to be repaid. For a student facing an unexpected expense, that support can mean keeping the lights on, getting to class, replacing an essential item, or addressing an urgent need without having to choose between that expense and their education.

Your gift provides direct financial assistance when students need it most. By helping remove an immediate financial barrier, you can give a student the stability to stay focused on their education and continue moving toward their future.

$25 funds groceries for a student in need.

$100 funds transportation, utility, or other essential expenses that could otherwise disrupt a student's ability to attend class.

$500 funds meaningful emergency assistance to a student experiencing a significant temporary hardship or illness.
