The Astronomy Engagement Fellowship will enable DU graduate students to engage with their community through public events and outreach at our historic Chamberlin Observatory. This project is dedicated to strengthening the connections between DU and the public through the inspiration of the night sky and the shared resource of the observatory.
Why Your Support Matters:
With just $5: You can help purchase supplies for hands-on astronomy activities for kids who participate in observatory events.
With $50: You support publicity efforts that will educate the community about Chamberlin and increase access to observatory programs.
With $500: You contribute to a fund that will support a DU Ph.D. student as an "Astronomy Engagement Fellow" who will organize exciting public events at the observatory and interact regularly with the community while they carry out their astronomy research.
Your generous contributions will directly fund an astronomy graduate student to develop new outreach programming using the observatory, train undergraduates to use the historic telescope, and serve as a liaison between the public and astronomers at DU. Each donation will be strategically used to maximize the impact on both DU students studying astronomy and the curious, enthusiastic visitors to the observatory.
We deeply appreciate your willingness to support the Astronomy Engagement Fellowship.
Your contribution not only helps us achieve our goals but also reinforces the Denver Difference. We are solving problems and creating new knowledge that directly improves the human condition. Because as a DU Difference-Maker, you can help change lives and shape the future.
By making a gift today, you are directly contributing to the development of scientific leaders who prioritize public engagement, as well as a new generation of astronomical experiences for the Denver community. Your support is crucial in helping us reach our goals and make a meaningful difference. Thank you for your generosity and commitment to making a positive impact.
