Kinesiology is where science meets motion. Our students explore human movement, performance, and health — conducting research, working alongside practitioners, and developing real solutions for fitness, rehabilitation, and health promotion across all ages and abilities.
UConn Gives powers experiences that elevate student success — funding labs, research opportunities, community outreach, and professional preparation that drive healthier lives. When you give during this two-day event, you help equip students to transform the world through movement science and compassionate care.
Our Highlighted Funds:
Athletic Training Program Fund – *New this year*
Attending athletic training conferences is essential for students’ professional growth, networking, and staying current with best practices in sports medicine, yet financial barriers can limit access to these opportunities. Your support helps offset travel, lodging, and registration costs, enabling students to fully engage in these professional experiences!
The Physical Therapy Integrated Internal Clinical Experience Fund –
Through UConn PT C.A.R.E.S., students and faculty work together to provide meaningful care to Connecticut residents, from wellness programs for older adults to specialized services like Parkinson’s exercise classes and the Student Learning Clinic. Your generosity helps expand this impact, strengthening communities while educating future physical therapists.
Institute for Sports Medicine –
The UConn Institute for Sports Medicine is a collaboration between UConn Health and the UConn Department of Kinesiology on a mission to enable athletes at all levels of play to reach their peak performance while working to prevent and treat sports-related injuries through world-class clinical care, education, and research.
The Korey Stringer Institute Fund –
Support KSI’s mission to provide research, education, advocacy and consultation to maximize performance, optimize safety and prevent sudden death for the athlete, warfighter and laborer.
