Step Into Med (SIM) is dedicated to preparing and advancing students pursuing careers in the medical field. Unlike other organizations, SIM provides direct mentorship from professionals and advanced certifications to give students a head start in their clinical experience. Many students lack access to shadowing, certifications, research opportunities, and exposure to the wide range of medical careers. SIM addresses these gaps by laying a strong foundation for pre-med and healthcare-focused students to move ahead in their journey. Through collaboration with SHaW, members gain hands-on experience by shadowing physicians and nurses while also learning from their personal career insights. SIM also hosts engaging activities such as professional panels and CPR classes taught by nurses. By participating, students advance their pre-med track with early access to mentorship, research, certifications, and clinical opportunities, ensuring they are prepared before they need to be.
Any additional funds will be used for the general activities of the group.
