Help us transform lives!
The Biomedical Engineering (BME) Program at CU Boulder uses engineering principles to analyze and solve problems in biology and medicine, providing an overall enhancement to healthcare. Biomedical engineers create technology to save lives and improve the quality of life. Despite the many advances in medicine, so much more can be done. Current research in biomedical engineering at CU Boulder focuses on innovative areas such as biomechanics and mechanobiology; medical devices; imaging and diagnostics; and therapeutics. Our goal is to create technology—drugs and devices—to treat injuries and illnesses safely and effectively.
As a relatively new program, Biomedical Engineering is still establishing itself. However, it is an immensely popular College of Engineering and Applied Science program. We have seen rapid growth in both our undergraduate and graduate student numbers. Thus, we are quickly trying to respond to the needs of our growing student population. This fund will allow the BME Program to provide responsive and flexible aid for student education and activities; funding for our engineering student groups; and support for other critical areas of need as they arise.
Donor Impact
A gift to the Biomedical Engineering Program directly supports the success of the students. Your donation enables the recruitment of future engineering students, research opportunities, student conference travel funds, and more to help engage students and enhance their education. Please consider supporting our efforts in improving the long-term health outcomes for our community, as our students matriculate into the healthcare profession as medical doctors, industry professionals and researchers.
