The Aerospace Excellence Fund provides financial support for students and department activities that cannot be anticipated or funded through the department’s standard budget, and that contribute to the excellence of our students and the department’s reputation.
Donor Impact
These funds have been used to host prestigious seminar speakers, where our students can meet with national aerospace engineering sciences leaders in industry, academia, and government positions. These invited speakers have been instrumental in showcasing the diverse range of aerospace careers that exist today, and help our department be recognized for the outstanding aerospace education opportunities we provide. Additionally, this fund has provided financial support for student teams to attend and represent the department at national conferences or competitions, including award-winning senior design groups traveling to present their work.
