The UCSC Scientific Diving program supports marine research and education through SCUBA diving. Students can earn their scientific diving certification in the BIOE 75 Scientific Diving Methods course. This certification is a prerequisite for several marine biology field courses as well as many faculty-led research opportunities. This year, we are hoping to replace our GoDive SCUBA regulators, so every contribution helps. For every $350 donated, we will be able to purchase one new regulator, which will support 2 to 4 students per year for the next 10+ years. The Scientific Diving program at UCSC is incredibly impactful, and your contribution can help students develop meaningful and lasting relationships with the ocean through the most immersive experience possible.
