Launch a student's marine science career via Seymour Center’s Student Aquarist Program
There are limited technical, hands-on, professional marine science jobs. Mentored by the Seymour Center’s aquarium team, student aquarists learn aquarium husbandry techniques through cleaning and maintaining the tanks, keeping with animal care protocol, and learning the seawater system functions.
The Seymour Center’s Student Aquarist Program has welcomed students into the UCSC community for over two decades. Students are embedded in a vibrant, interdisciplinary community of peers, staff, and scientists—many of whom share their passions for climate, science, and public impact.
Donate today and launch a student's marine science career.
