Women in Computing (WINC) fosters an inclusive community of 300+ students of all genders and computing-engineering majors through mentorship, technical workshops, and flagship events like RoseHack (UCR's most extensive and Inland Empire's largest women-centric hackathon).
This campaign also supports student opportunities beyond campus, such as big tech company tours (DreamWorks in November 2026), and travel to the Harvard University WECode Conference, where members connect with industry leaders and expand their pathways in tech.
Thanks to the foundational support of donors like you, WINC was recently honored UC Riverside's Bourns College of Engineering Student Organization Award Gala 2026, where we swept all five categories we were nominated for, including:
People's Choice Award
Event of the Year Award (RoseHack)
Outstanding BCOE Community Engagement Award
Making a Difference Award
Best Engineering Spirit Award
Additionally, WINC was also honored at UC Riverside's Student Organization Award Ceremony, where over 500+ registered student organizations were nominated. During this ceremony, WINC won two awards:
Advisor of the Year
Bayless Leadership Organization of the Year
