When students engage in leadership and service opportunities at UCR, they elevate their leadership skills, become better prepared for professional success, and make a meaningful impact on their communities.
Our goal is to raise $7,500 to support our annual UCR Leadership Week and Volunteer Center, which supports large-scale service opportunities at UCR and within the Riverside community. During UCR Leadership Week, students have the opportunity to attend a community engagement fair and interact with nonprofits within the Riverside area and attend workshops on how to build their social capital through networking. Throughout the academic year, the Volunteer Center hosts various service opportunities for students to engage in large-scale service events such as our annual Highlanders Give Back (Fall), MLK Day of Service (Winter), and Earth Month (Spring).
By meeting our goal of $7,500, we would be able to continue hosting leadership and service programs that give students the opportunity to enhance their leadership skills and make a positive impact in their communities.
