The Ariel Dinar Endowed Scholarship supports undergraduate and graduate students in the School of Public Policy who are passionate about water and environmental policy.
Established in honor of Emeritus Professor Ariel Dinar, the scholarship recognizes his decades of contributions to research, teaching, and mentorship in environmental and natural resource policy. Professor Dinar joined UCR in 2008 after spending 15 years at the World Bank working on water and climate change economics. Throughout his career, he has helped shape global conversations on water management, environmental sustainability, and policy innovation, while remaining deeply committed to supporting and mentoring future generations of policy leaders.
At a time when climate change, water scarcity, and environmental sustainability are among the most urgent global challenges, investing in future policy leaders has never been more important. This scholarship helps remove financial barriers so students can focus on research, innovation, and real-world solutions that protect communities and natural resources.
Your Give Day gift directly empowers students committed to shaping policies that promote environmental resilience, equitable water access, and long-term sustainability. Your support helps cultivate the next generation of leaders who will tackle complex environmental challenges with integrity and evidence-based solutions.
