Basic Needs Student Housing Support Project: No student should have to choose between their education and a safe place to sleep. The Basic Needs Student Housing Support Project strengthens our Housing Assistance Program for those experiencing homelessness or unsafe living conditions. By providing emergency on-campus housing and specialized workshops on tenant rights, this fund empowers students with temporary placement along with hygiene products in order to navigate the housing market with a peace of mind. Your gift helps us maintain a campus where every student has the stability they need to thrive.

When we support students’ basic needs, we support their overall success. Donations will be used to help support the following:

• Expand Emergency Assistance: Provide resources like emergency funds, temporary housing support, and access to basic needs kits.
• Enhance Student Programs: Fund educational workshops on budgeting, nutrition, and resource navigation.
• Create a Comforting Community Space: Support initiatives that foster a sense of belonging, such as hosting regular resource fairs, pop-up events, and free meal distributions.
• Provide Food Security Resources: Fund food resources such as the R' Pantry, the Meal Support Program, grocery gift cards and CalFresh Outreach Programs.
