UCR's Graduate Division is a campus-wide unit dedicated to supporting graduate scholars from recruitment through degree completion and into their professional careers.
Graduate students are at the forefront of discovery-their work strengthens the national research enterprise, fuels economic mobility, and advances solutions to some of society’s most pressing challenges.
Investments in the Graduate Division ensure the people, ideas, and infrastructure that drive research excellence at UC Riverside continue to thrive and grow across every discipline.
Through our GradSuccess program, we provide graduate students and postdoctoral scholars with mentorship, writing and quantitative support, professional development opportunities, teaching support, and community engagement experiences. GradSuccess offers the holistic support scholars need to succeed academically, professionally, and personally.
Your support helps empower the next generation of researchers, educators, and leaders.

Since the beginning of my academic journey at UCR, GradSuccess has been a positive constant during my PhD studies. From workshops and individual consultations to wellness and social events, GradSuccess truly serves as a genuine support system for graduate students. Now, as part of the team, I get to give back and help improve the experience of my fellow graduate students. -Dulce Alarcón, Bioengineering PhD Student and Graduate Student Resource Center Lead Consultant

GradSuccess completely changed my graduate experience. Through GradSuccess, I entered and won the 2024 UCR Grad Slam competition, which I used to support my dissertation research. I found support through the Graduate Writing Center whenever I hit a block, got guidance from GradQuant when I wasn’t sure what statistical models to use, and attended workshops with TADP that helped me grow as an instructor. GradSuccess also created space to recharge and feel emotional support.
GradSuccess isn’t just a perfunctory set of resources, it’s a community that helps graduate students at UCR thrive. Gifts to this fund make it possible for more students to access these opportunities and support systems when they need them most. -Shannon Brady, 2025 Psychology PhD alumna and current postdoctoral scholar at the University of Rutgers-Newark
