At the Stem Cell Core Facility at UC Riverside, scientists are using stem cells to answer the most fundamental questions behind aging and diseases such as neurodegenerative disorders, epilepsy, congenital defects, osteoporosis, schizophrenia, and viral infections. Researchers are also collaborating with UCR's Engineering Department to test innovative materials that may help regenerate damaged tissue.
With your support, the facility can take the next step by adding 3D cell culture capabilities, allowing researchers to create organ models to better understand these conditions, develop therapies, and contribute to regenerative medicine.
