Nematodes play a crucial role in soil health and agriculture, and UC Riverside is home to the only Department of Nematology in the U.S. Our students are leading research on plant-parasitic nematodes, disease prevention, and host immunity.
There are currently 15 graduate students in Nematology, and we aim to raise $5,000 to support graduate student travel to research conferences, including the Society of Nematologists, the American Society of Parasitologists, and the American Society of Plant Biologists.
