The Department of Society, Environment, and Health Equity (SEHE) at UC Riverside addresses complex social, medical, and environmental challenges with a focus on sustainability, equity, and social justice, both locally and globally.
SEHE prepares undergraduate students for high-demand careers and post-graduate study in fields such as health care, health policy, public service, and sustainability. Through an interdisciplinary approach grounded in the arts, humanities, and social sciences, students gain the knowledge and skills needed to serve the diverse communities of Inland Southern California and beyond.
SEHE also supports transformative and innovative interdisciplinary research that addresses today’s most pressing social and environmental issues.
