Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) is an organization that focuses on helping students prepare for the STEM industry and their future career endeavors. It is built among 5 pillars: Professionalism, Community, Service, Outreach, and Familia. Through these 5 pillars, we use our resources to prepare students who are going into the STEM field and have not otherwise had resources of their own. The national organization also hosts conferences and workshops with professionals to give students the opportunity of preparing and knowing how to do an interview, and land an internship or full time offer after college.
Fundraising Goal
SHPE is fundraising for dedicated expenses towards events and team-building activities for "Manitos" - an abbreviation of the Spanish word "Hermanitos" meaning younger sibling - a mentorship program for SHPE members to support each other to achieve personal, academic, and career goals.
