UC Merced Yamabuki Taiko is a student-run organization dedicated to the art and tradition of Japanese Taiko drumming. Through dynamic performances and engaging workshops, the group fosters cultural appreciation, teamwork, and musical expression. Yamabuki Taiko welcomes students of all backgrounds and skill levels, providing a supportive space to learn and practice this powerful art form. The ensemble performs at various campus and community events, sharing the spirit and energy of Taiko with audiences while preserving and celebrating Japanese heritage.

Fundraising Goal
Yamabuki Taiko is raising funds support opportunities for students to attend workshops and receive professional instruction, develop new techniques and strengthen their performances. Additional funds will help cover essential equipment needs, including replacement bachi drumsticks and performance attire, ensuring the organization can continue performing and sharing the art of taiko with the campus community.
