UC Merced Yamabuki Taiko is a student-run organization dedicated to the art and tradition of Japanese Taiko drumming. Through dynamic performances and engaging workshops, the group fosters cultural appreciation, teamwork, and musical expression. Yamabuki Taiko welcomes students of all backgrounds and skill levels, providing a supportive space to learn and practice this powerful art form. The ensemble performs at various campus and community events, sharing the spirit and energy of Taiko with audiences while preserving and celebrating Japanese heritage.

Fundraising Goal

Yamabuki Taiko is raising funds to purchase essential instruments, including the nagado-daiko and okedo-katsugi, to enhance performances and provide members with authentic Taiko drumming experiences. These instruments will allow the group to continue sharing the art and tradition of Taiko with the UC Merced community and beyond.
