Kairos Dance Group

Kairos Dance Group at UC Merced is an API cultural organization dedicated to promoting proper representation through its socials, cultural nights, and dance subunits. The group prides itself on creating a welcoming environment for a diverse population of UCM students. Through performances, workshops, and rehearsals, Kairos Dance Group fosters creativity, unity, and self-expression while offering students the opportunity to explore various dance styles. The group strives to create an inclusive space where dancers of all skill levels and backgrounds can come together, develop their talents, and engage the UC Merced community with culturally rich and impactful performances.

Fundraising Goal

Kairos Dance Group is fundraising to support the largest event hosted by the organization, their Asian Pacific Islander (API) Festival. This event celebrates all API regions through three key pillars. First, it connects UC Merced students with local ethnic community groups through guest speakers. Second, it provides students with opportunities to represent their cultures through tabling and resource sharing, emphasizing the importance of cultural representation and education. Lastly, the festival offers a diverse selection of API foods, highlighting food as a cultural commonality and a means of fostering community.
