Bobcat Band at UC Merced

The Bobcat Band at UC Merced is one of the oldest clubs on campus and the pride and soul of UC Merced. Our club consists of three ensembles: a jazz band; an orchestra; and a pep, concert, and marching band rolled into one ensemble. While it might sound disadvantageous to have so many ensembles and still be completely student-run, we take pride in our ability to learn and grow as both students and musicians. As we grow both in skill and in numbers, we perform at more events both on and off campus. Throughout our history, we have played for local city-funded parades, sporting events such as basketball and soccer games, and numerous smaller community events, in addition to holding our own events, such as our annual Winter and Spring Concerts.

Fundraising Goal

Bobcat Band is raising funds to expand their instrument inventory to purchase instruments, such as tenor saxophones, trombones, a baritone sax, sousaphones, and percussion instruments.
