Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) is an organization that focuses on increasing the number and retention of Hispanic engineering students, promote the advancement of Hispanic engineers and scientists in employment and education, and develop and participate in programs with industry and the university, which benefits students seeking technical degrees.

Fundraising Goal

The SHPE Chapter Project aims to provide UC Merced students with the opportunity to develop technical skills that are not limited to a specific field of study. The project offers valuable hands-on experience that students can apply to their future careers, regardless of their major or background. As an organization that embraces all areas of engineering, SHPE strives to create an inclusive project that is accessible to everyone, ensuring that no one feels intimidated by a lack of relevant experience.
